The Catch 7/1/19

Hello! Welcome to the latest issue of "The Catch", published fortnightly for

Nassau's best rowing club.

Happy New Year!

New Boats!

Nassau Rowing Club has added two new shells to our fleet!

All the way from Canada, please welcome the Hudson 2x and 4x to Lake Cunningham.

The design on the stern and bow deck on shells from Hudson Boat Works were perfect for a custom paint job of the Bahamian flag! These shells will no doubt make a splash on the lake. Not only are they visually appealing, but lightweight, and a smooth ride.

Thanks to all who helped facilitate their purchase and arrival. NRC is growing, and our fleet is growing with us.

Thank you to our sponsors

We are so grateful for the support of the community. NRC could not operate nor afford new equipment without your help. Please support these businesses who support us.

Winter Learn to Row Programs begin this Saturday

We can't wait to meet our new rowers! Please share this with friends, as there are still a few spaces available.

Masters (ages 18+) row from

8:30 - 10 AM

Juniors (ages 11 - 18) row from 12:30 - 2 PM

No experience is necessary! Wear comfortable, athletic clothing, and bring a water bottle. Sneakers, socks, and a hat are recommended.

Can't swim? We have life jackets for you to wear, but the boat is your floatation device, in the unlikely event that you capsize. Message us for more details!

School visits

Coach KariAnne is always looking forward to meeting new friends! Are you interested in hosting a session with Nassau Rowing Club? We will bring an erg (rowing machine) to your school and present to students a brief demonstration of rowing, and also hold a few short races.

This week we are visiting Blairwood Academy.
