1ST Annual Halloween Regatta a SPOOOOKTACULAR Success!

Last Saturday, Nassau Rowing Club hosted a costumed Halloween Regatta and Potluck for its members and their families. Eighteen athletes

(4 Masters and 14 Juniors) participated in a head race style course from the East end of Lake Cunningham to the dock at NRC's facility. Athletes enjoyed prizes and bragging rights for best costume (boat and individual) and fastest times (quads, doubles, and singles). The Mixed Masters 4x is looking for a rematch against the Junior Mens 2x !

Rowers take to the Streets to OutRun Hunger

A number of NRC members ran a 5k or 10k race on Saturday 3 November from Arawak Cay to help fight hunger in the Bahamas. Jacqueline Derbyshire, Ben Derbyshire, Rita Roy, KariAnne Kulig, LJ Martin, Sascha Proffitt, David Moldovan, and Lori Moldovan participated in the H4H Community run. Sheena Heastie was there to document and support this worthy cause. Well done, all!

Jollification 2018

Please find NRC's tent at Jollification 2018 on Saturday and Sunday, 17th and 18th of November, at The Retreat on Village Road. Sponsored by Bahamas National Trust, this is a great way to support your local artists and craftspeople!

Why did you choose to start rowing?: "I've done kayaking in the past and was very fascinated about how peaceful and interesting the overall experience was. So when my brother encouraged my to do rowing, I was all ears and eager about trying something new.

What is an interesting fact about you?: "I love craft work. When I was younger, I was really into crocheting and sewing. I taught myself how to crochet and my mother inspired me to start sewing".
